Alive Magazine is new media for a new generation. Created by young women, for young women, it is grounded in the spirit of providing positive media and constructive, creative outlets for expression. AM is one component of Alive Arts Media, a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging women to create the media they want to see.
Goals
- Enable young women to think critically about what they read/hear/see on a daily basis
- Encourage young women to identify their own passions and values and communicate them in a way that facilitates discussion and further exploration
- Offer stories and images that provide diverse perspectives for what it means to be a young woman
- Challenge young women to act out their interests, passions, and values in ways that build community and help them pursue their dreams
